The PE and Sport Grant is devolved funding from central government. This funding must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils aged 5 – 11 years old so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles. Key information about our funding and how it is used can be found here.
When you read our reports you will see that one of the largest areas of expenditure is our membership of Team Activ, this membership supports continuous improvement and sustainability in the standards of teaching & learning in PE through professional development, as well as improved access to a variety of inclusive sporting opportunities: after school clubs which are planned to give children access to a range of activities and to help prepare children to participate in competitive opportunities throughout the year.
Our Health & Fitness Week this year took place during week commencing 10th July 2017. As well as children across school getting involved in a wide variety of activities such as cricket, netball, football, orienteering, relay races and obstacle courses we also invited parents in to school for traditional sports day events and took part in workshops focusing on healthy eating, drug education and relationships. Have a look at some pictures of the weeks events in our Gallery.
